Under 14’s Division 2 3/10/10
Cobham Colts 4 v Earl Juniors 1
Both teams showed good football despite wet and windy conditions. An early strike by Matthew Thomas put Cobham on the front foot and this was added to by Baltej Gill from a Cobham corner. Earl Juniors soon got back into the match with a goal, but Kieran Jones restored Cobham’s two goal advantage, which made the half time score 3-1. The weather became more of an influence after the interval, making the football less fluent but Cobham did manage to add a fourth goal, scored by midfielder Alfie Smith.

Walderslade 0 v Cobham Colts 1
This was the return fixture of the opening match of the season and like that game this was an entertaining, competitive and close fought encounter. Having said this credit should be given to Walderslade’s goalie who played brilliantly to deny Cobham’s attack on several occasions in the first half resulting in a goalless scoreline. Cobham continued to apply pressure after the interval, but there was that goalie still in command. Eventually he did get beaten by a shot from the industrious Matthew Thomas when Cobham tried the direct route through the middle.
