Cobham Colts Under 11s - 2009/10
Under 11s Div 3 21/2/10
Cobhams Colts kept up their unbeaten 'away' record in the league with a win at Wigmore Youth. With cold driving rain blowing across the pitch, Cobham wanted to wrap up this game up as quickly as possible before conditions worsened. Ewan Greenway opened the scoring, Ronnie made it two, Jack White the third, and a Wigmore deflection made it 4-0 by halftime. As the rain continued, the pitch grew boggier by the minute, Oliver Greenwell's shot beating the keepier but rolling to a halt before the goal line... Cobham were unable to maintain their short passing game. Wigmore long balls on the break pulled back a couple of goals, but Billy Tivey's strike to make it 5-2 to Cobham put the result beyond any doubt.
