Constitution
NAME OF THE CLUB
1. The name of the Club shall be ‘COBHAM COLTS FOOTBALL CLUB’ and hereafter shall be referred to as ‘THE CLUB’, and shall be affiliated to the Kent County Football Association.
OBJECTS OF THE CLUB
2. The objects of the Club shall be to provide facilities, promote the game of Association Football, to arrange matches and social activities for its members and community participation in the same.
STATUS OF RULES
3. The Clubs Rules form a binding Agreement between each Member of the Club.
4. The Club will also abide by The FA’s Child Protection Policies and Procedures, Codes of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy as shall be in place from time to time.
GOVERNING BODY
5. The Governing body of The Club shall be vested in the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. These shall be known as the ‘COBHAM COLTS FOOTBALL CLUB COMMITTEE’ and shall govern the Club.
CLUB COLOURS
6. The colours of The Club shall be MAROON and GREEN
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
7. The Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer are life members of the Committee. Election to these posts will be on resignation of any of the aforesaid Officers.
POWERS OF COMMITTEE
8. The Football Club Committee shall administer the property and/or assets of The Club and the Secretary shall be responsible to the Committee for ensuring that these are kept up to date and decisions of meeting shall be entered into the Minute Book of the Club.
9. The Committee shall have the power to suspend or expel any member deemed guilty of conduct prejudicial to the good name of The Club.
MEMBERSHIP
10. Membership shall be open to all boys/girls playing for The Club and to their parents or guardian family who elect to pay a Subscription to The Club at the approved rate at the start of the Football Season. In the event of a Members resignation or expulsion their name shall be removed from the register.
11. The amount of subscription due under paragraph 10 is set by the Committee of the Cobham Sports Association/Cobham Colts Football Club.
12. A match subscription shall be determined yearly.
All new members to the club will provide evidence of Date of Birth by Birth Certificate.
FINANCE
13. The financial year shall run concurrently with The Club Year from 1st June to 31st May.
14. The Club accounts shall be audited annually. Two signatories to sign on behalf of the Club being the Chairman and the Treasurer.
15. The Treasurer is to receive the subscriptions and monies raised by Club events and to administrate such monies to ensure the financial aspects of The Club i.e., Fees, Fines, Kit and general running expenditure.
MEETINGS
16. The Football Club Committee shall meet once a month together with the Managers, or their assistant responsible for keeping minutes.
17. Annual General Meeting shall be held at end of each season for which a Financial Report and Secretary/Chairman’s/Managers Report will be made.
OTHER BUSINESS
18. Managers shall not enter into a formal dispute with any Club, League Officials, Association or other, but shall report the matter to the Club Secretary who shall with support of The Committee decide upon the appropriate course of action.
19. Any other matters not governed by the forgoing rules shall be dealt with by The Committee, the decision of which shall be final and binding.
DISSOLUTION
(a) A resolution to dissolve the Club shall only be proposed at a General Meeting and shall be carried by a majority of at least three-quarters of the members present.
(b) The dissolution shall take effect from the date of the resolution and the members of the Club Committee shall be responsible for the winding up of the assets and liabilities of the Club. M,
(c) Any surplus assets remaining after the discharge of the debts and liabilities of the Club shall be transferred to another Club
